Phase 3 consists of construction and commissioning. The project team will prepare final working drawings and a full plant value engineering assessment.
A change order process and procurement proceedings are established. Procurement for labor, materials and equipment is made through managed contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders. The mobilization process begins and an intranet site established.
With an experienced construction management team and quality/safety plans in place, the building elements are completed at a level to ensure the project will come in on time and within budget. Construction activity is documented throughout the entire duration of the project. Project closeout is complete.
Commissioning is a vital part of Phase 3. Commissioning is a well-planned, documented and managed approach to the installation, start-up, turnover and verification of the facility, systems and equipment to the owner/end user resulting in a safe, productive environment that meets the design objectives and the owner’s quality expectations.
