Coronal takes a project from its early formative stage with a feasibility study, through design and selection of an EPC contractor, to overseeing construction and commissioning a project. This provides continuity, implementation of design and final product meeting owner’s expectations.
Coronal will integrate the best technologies to meet the project goals. Several technologies are needed for an economical and environmental friendly waste-to-energy facility. Coronal has expertise to select the appropriate technologies for the type and function of the proposed waste-to-energy facility. Once these technologies are chosen they need to be integrated into a fully functional facility. Coronal works with the owner to achieve the proper integration.
A well functioning waste-to-energy facility needs to be customized to the needs of the waste management profile. The types of waste feedstock and the selected energy output allows for customization. However this does not mean extra costs. Coronal uses modular design for many of the components of the facility. Therefore customization can occur for the benefit of the project.
Coronal places much needed emphasis on the investigation, feasibility and design of a proposed project. Initial research and study will define scope, identify the quantity and quality of the waste stream, prepare a detailed project plan and timeline, and identify potential risks and mitigation strategies. Coronal work in this area will greatly benefit the project from its inception to its completion.
In any large project the contracts with team members, vendors, engineers, contractors, and others are very important to ensure the scope of work, definitions and fully agreed upon terms. Coronal works with the owner in using good legal counsel and management practices.
Waste-To-Energy projects are multi-million dollar projects and financing is a crucial element to a successful project. Coronal will assist the owner with financing strategies, possible ownership vehicles and pro forma studies for obtaining the financing for the project.
